The goal of this project was to highlight Parneet Sohal’s journey in the makeup industry and student life in Toronto through an engaging and visually polished documentary.
Behind the Glam is a short documentary interview featuring Parneet Sohal, an international student pursuing Cosmetic Management at Humber College. This project aimed to showcase her motivations, career aspirations, and experiences in the makeup industry while navigating life as a student in Toronto.
While my team assisted in filming, I took primary responsibility for the production process, including setting up video and sound equipment, adjusting lighting, and ensuring technical quality. I also led post-production by reviewing raw footage, selecting and combining shots, and handling video editing and sound design, incorporating ambient sound effects to enhance the narrative.
The final video presents an insightful and inspiring story, offering valuable perspectives for aspiring makeup artists and international students pursuing careers abroad.
